Voting Now Open For The 2011 Reel Rock Filmmaking Competition

Voting for the 2011 Reel Rock Tour Filmmaking contest is now open until September 10th.  The slate of 13 2-minute videos, which is perhaps a few too many in today's attention deficit world, runs the gamut from clever spoofs to footage of Ethan Pringle sending The Golden Ticket (5.14d) at the Red River Gorge.  The two winners, who will be announced at the film tour's premier September 15th in Boulder, will receive prizes from the tour's sponsors as well as tuition to the Outside Adventure Film School in 2012.  Vote early and often by clicking here, and share your favorite video in the comments below.

After 5 and Golden Ticket were my favorites. By far the makers of those films deserve the tuition prize to outside adventure film school.

        Cat Man and Our Office.

"Lead Climbing Lesson One" is more like gumby teaches kids how to kill themselves. My favorite quote is when the they first get there the kid says "...but it did say no trespassing." There are a lot of responsible ways to teach kids how to climb but that was not one of them.

Seriously what was that video about?

Why the hell wouldn't someone be giving that kid a backup belay if he wasn't ready to be lead belaying---let alone leading anything?

That was amazing! A child almost got seriously injured! To circus music! Hilarious!

None of these are nearly as humorous as last year's "Roxx"

"The Fake Rock Film Tour"! classic! hahaha

The no-handed pull up and the fly eating both cracked me up.

I think its a little bit sad that the odds of Ethan Pringle making it into the Reel Rock tour are about the same as cute kids messing around on a 5.6. That guy has to be doing something wrong in the industry to be climbing so hard and not getting more press.
