2014 Bouldering World Championships This Weekend In Munich

This weekend is the highly anticipated 2014 Bouldering World Championships in Munich, Germany.  Several Americans will be joining a massive field full of the best male and female competition climbers from over 40 countries, all looking to take the coveted title of World Champion.  One notable absence from the field will be Austrian legend Anna Stohr who is out with a finger injury.

Male qualifiers will be on Thursday with Women's qualifiers taking place on Friday.  Semis and Finals will be streamed live on Saturday morning beginning at 11 AM local time in Munich.

    Presumably he's doing rocks rather than a bouldering competition. I'm hoping Andy Lamb and Michael O'Rourke stay on the circuit this year and do good things.

      the bouldering world cup circuit is over for 2014 but it would be cool to see a more regular american presence next year.

        It definitely would be cool, but while several of the men have talked about it over the years none have actually dedicated themselves to it

          It just cost too much money to commit to it for a whole season unless someone in funding you.
